Should gay couples be given the same legal rights as heterosexuals in adopting children?

Every person that is capable to look after a child should be able to adopt.
2 men or 2 woman can do the same as a "2.4" family.
If a child has food,drink is warm and loved...I dont think it should matter who gets to look after them if their own family couldnt x

Absolutely they should! Just because a couple are the same sex why should this stop them from raising a family together??
I have a close friend who is gay and is in the process of adopting a little boy along with his partner. The little boy comes from the most hideous of circumstances BUT for the first time in his 6yrs he feels safe. Surely the rights of the child to be safe, happy and looked after should taken over & above what his prospective parents do in the bedroom?? Just saying...

2 men 2 women can't see the problem as long as the child is loved what more could any adpotion agency want?
