Your Views On Using Dummies?

I think using dummies for a baby is good for the first year as it reduces the risk of cot death. My lo refused a dummy though as hes a thumb sucker x

Fab for my two kids anyway!! My son was 2 in december and only has a dummy during the night now as he sometimes wakes up and giving him a dummy settles him back down straight away xx

I personally don't like dummies, I never wanted my eldest to have one, but we ended up giving her one & she loved it, & took her off it completely at around 2 years.
Fortunately my youngest doesn't like them, & can calm himself down without one xx

i have used dummies with my little girl since she was a week old as that was the only way she would go to sleep, she is now 10 months old and only has it now when she goes to sleep or if she isn't very well other wise she will not have it she will spit it out. x
